Hyperbarics New Smyrna opens to serve more patients across the state of Florida

Hyperbaric Healing Treatment Center expands to provide their expertise in the healing power of oxygen

Hyperbaric Healing Treatment Center, a premier private hyperbaric oxygen therapy concept, opened a second medical center in New Smyrna Beach, Florida on July 26.

The new center, named Hyperbarics New Smyrna, was established in an area where the team knew more patients across Florida and beyond could access the transformative hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatment offered at their facilities.

“Over the years we have treated many patients at Hyperbarics Orlando from New Smyrna Beach and nearby areas—Palm Coast, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Deltona, DeLand, Titusville—that had to endure the long commute in order to heal. With this new location on the East Coast, conveniently located off of I-95, these patients no longer have to drive over an hour to seek treatment. We also hope that others who could not visit us due to distance will now have this treatment option located closer to where they live,” said Erika Jordan, hyperbaric director and founder of Hyperbaric Healing Treatment Center.

“I am super excited to serve the community of New Smyrna Beach, and we are proud to be the first and only private hyperbaric facility in the area,” continued Jordan. “We have already received so much support from our local patients and the community. We are very thankful and honored for the opportunity to assist in the healing of patients in the New Smyrna Beach area,” she said.

Hyperbarics New Smyrna is a spa-like medical center equipped with state of the art Sechrist 3600 monoplace hyperbaric chambers capable of pressures up to 3.0 atmospheres with entertainment streaming capabilities. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Hyperbarics New Smyrna treats patients for a variety of insurance-approved and off-label medical conditions. The cost of treatment differs for each patient based on the condition treated, insurance coverage options, and number of treatments deemed medically necessary.

Their hyperbaric chambers are approved by the FDA to treat many medical conditions. Currently, Medicare and most commercial insurance companies generally cover hyperbaric oxygen therapy to treat the following conditions:

  • Air or Gas Embolism
  • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
  • Chronic Osteomyelitis
  • Compartment Syndrome/Crush Injury/Other Traumatic Ischemias
  • Compromised Skin Grafts and Flaps
  • Decompression Sickness (Bends)
  • Diabetic and Selected Wounds
  • Exceptional Blood Loss (Anemia)
  • Gas Gangrene
  • Intracranial Abscess
  • Necrotizing Fasciitis
  • Osteoradionecrosis and Radiation Tissue Damage
  • Thermal Burns

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can also help with the following off-label conditions:

  • Lingering COVID-19 symptoms
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lyme Disease
  • Migraine
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Near Drowning
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Recovery from Plastic Surgery
  • Sports Injuries
  • Stroke
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Addiction
  • Autism
  • Anoxic Brain Injury
  • Avascular Necrosis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Circulation Conditions
  • Concussion
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome

In addition to Jordan, the new location will be overseen by Guilherme Moraes, Safety Director at Hyperbarics New Smyrna. With a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and active Basic Life Support with AED (BLS) Certification, Moraes is committed to patient safety and care as his top priority.

“We are thrilled to bring a new hyperbaric center to New Smyrna Beach, it reflects years of hard work and dedication. My number one priority at Hyperbarics New Smyrna is our patient’s safety and security, and utilizing the tools of kindness and carefulness to provide the best experience to each of our patients throughout their recovery path,” said Moraes.

Hyperbaric Healing Treatment Center was founded in 2017 by Erika Jordan with the goal of offering safe, high-quality, affordable hyperbaric oxygen therapy to each and every patient in need of treatment. With two medical centers in Orlando and New Smyrna Beach, Florida, their mission is to ensure patient comfort and care throughout the healing journey with world-class customer service in order to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
